KARL MEYER The James Dean Joint serve up a spicy, greasy mixture of soul, blues, and psychedelia on Cabinbuzz. Chicago references abound in the lyrics, but I hear plenty of Memphis Stax and Louisiana Swamp Blues along the way. Great songs, solid & gutsy performances, and old-school production values make this a clear winner. It’s tough to pick a favorite track but mine is the appropriately named “Backwards in Time”. You'll enjoy the ride. Favorite track: Backwards In Time.
